Biography

Roger O'Halloran moved from New York to Florida as a teenager. He graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors Degree in Business and from Florida State University College of Law three years later. After two years in the U.S. Army, he started his law career in 1974 working as an associate in a small general practice in Fort Myers.

In 1977, he opened his own office in North Fort Myers where he maintained a family practice focused on marital issues, wills, estates, and guardianships. In 2005, he moved his practice to Fort Myers and is currently located at 2800 McGregor Blvd. The practice remains family oriented.

Roger has long been active in professional, civic, and church organizations. Professionally, he belongs to the Lee County and Florida Bar Associations. He was a charter member and has been president of the Association of Family Law Professionals. He has twice been appointed by the Florida Bar to their grievance committee and mediates fee disputes between attorneys and clients on behalf of the Florida Bar Association.

Volunteerism is important to Roger within and outside the office. He volunteers regularly with a variety of organizations both locally and statewide. He has been appointed to a number of board positions including Father Anglim Academy, Boy Scouts of America, and Family Network on Disability. In the office, he has established a policy of accepting indigent cases through the Florida Rural Legal Services.
